Costs and admission
The costs of rehabilitation or follow-up treatments are usually covered by statutory or private health insurance. If you are a civil servant, your allowance may cover some of the costs. If you need follow-up treatments, the doctor at your hospital must submit a request. This is done by the hospital's social services department. After approval by the relevant cost unit, the social services department will register you directly at the KIRINUS Alpenpark Klinik and usually also arranges your transport.
Patients can also be admitted immediately on a self-pay basis.
Private acute psychosomatic ward
Our highly specialised integrative treatment approach is equivalent to inpatient acute psychosomatic care. It is therefore possible to be reimbursed by private health insurance companies. The following points should be considered:
Medical report
It must be clear to the insurer that acute inpatient treatment is medically necessary for the patient and that outpatient measures are inadequate or have been exhausted. We therefore advise patients to obtain a medical report from the outpatient specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy/specialist in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy or psychological psychotherapist before applying for coverage by their private health insurer.
Alternatively, in consultation with the patient's referring physician, we can perform the outpatient specialist examination and provide the medical report at our clinic.
Written request for coverage of acute psychosomatic treatment
The request for reimbursement is submitted to the relevant private health insurance company by the practicing specialist in psychiatry, neurology, psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy or the psychological psychotherapist.
Important: The request must be for acute psychosomatic treatment and not for psychosomatic rehabilitation or psychosomatic treatment.
Arrange an admission appointment
As soon as you have received written confirmation of cost coverage from your private health insurance company, you can register at the KIRINUS Alpenpark Klinik and make an appointment for admission.
Beneficiaries
Those who are entitled to financial support can also have the costs of treatment at the Alpenpark Klinik reimbursed. The following also applies here: Treatment at the Alpenpark Klinik is not a typical spa or sanatorium treatment, but an acute hospital treatment as defined by the law on state aid.
We have summarised further information and support for a quick and timely application for reimbursement in our information sheet, which can also be passed on to the attending physician.
Patients can also be admitted promptly on a self-pay basis.
